She was a bit upset that Rainbow Dash did not have similar gradient in her hair and tail as in the cartoon (the wave 2 rainbow has only blue and purple in her tail, not a full spectrum). But OTOH my daughter does not mind about the eyes, she focuses a LOT on their hair.

I agree with the eyes, I think the same applies a little also to the Rainbow Dash model from the same series - these two ponies lack their characteristic eyes from the cartoon. This hat looks like something that absolutely should have been included in the G4 crystal motion wave 2 box. Sorry it took ages for me to answer you and thank you all for good responses! And here is what that hat looks like on that particular pony: I have probably gone off on enough Applejack hat history for now. It’s brown, has the right shape and stays one well due to the ear holes. It is the most show accurate hat style for Applejack. This hat can work on the original G4 sized ones, it is just a tinnnnyyyyy bit longer and Applejack’s ears don’t quite stick out as far as they should to be absolutely show accurate. The only downside to what would be the perfect Applejack hat is that because of the G4.5 redesign the head of this version of Applejack became wider. That’s right it only took Hasbro 8 years! It’s almost as if some crazy Applejack Aficionado contacted Hasbro for eight years to get it right… At least blue and brown both start with “b”?įinally in 2018 a brown hat was released for Applejack! It was in the School of Friendship Show and Tell release.

Then we jump over to 2017 for the My Little Pony the Movie - Fashion Styles where once again we are faced with another blue hat. The only kudos we can give here is that the hat was brown at least… One hat for two figures and sadly due to the hat sized being only for Human Applejack her pony counter part was left hatless. The next set that came with a hat was the Crystal Empire Single and the hat was green!! I kept wondering if we had to cycle through the whole rainbow to get to brown… And to add insult to injury the hat was blue, not brown.Įven Applejack’s farm truck set did not come what a hat! Sweet Apple Barn is the first release of Applejack in the standard size that came with a hat. Like said 98% of Applejacks were not sold with hats, which is just about the worst thing ever! The first Applejack pony released with a hat was the very short first run of the Fashion Style size. Welcome to one of the saddest things about Applejack! Missing hat!!
